Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is the first lesson really free?
A: Yes! We at Riverside Piano Teachers are so confident that our teachers will be right for you that we let you decide if you want to continue with us after the first FREE introductory lesson.
Q: How will piano help my child?
A:Learning to play music is one of the biggest ways children can boost their self esteem; research shows that children who take music lessons perform better in school. Most of all, our teachers make learning enjoyable! Your child will have a blast as they get to know their teacher and apply what he/she teaches them.
Q: I only own an electric keyboard with fewer keys than a real piano. Can I take lessons and practice on it?
A: Although a full sized acoustic piano is always best, beginner and intermediate students will be able to learn the piano sufficiently on a small electric keyboard.
Q: I have two children that want to take lessons for half an hour each. Although they are being taught one after another in the same house do I still have to pay your half hour rate?
A: No. If the half hour lessons are back to back without travel time then you will be charged the hourly rate.
Q: May I take lessons every other week, or once a month?
A: Yes. Let us know how often you want lessons and your teacher will come that often.
Q: May I take lessons twice a week?
A: If the teacher is available you may take lessons as often as you want. However the effectiveness of lessons multiple times a week depends on how much a student practices. If the student practices more than an hour a day, then multiple lessons a week may be beneficial.
Q: I live in LA County. May I still take lessons with you?
A: Most of our teachers live in Riverside County. If you live close to Riverside County we still may be able to find a teacher that will be willing to drive to your home. If you live too far away then you will need to drive to the teacher's studio if they have one. If you live in Orange County, visit our
Orange County division.
Q: I don't have a piano or keyboard at home, can I still take lessons?
A: Most of our teachers teach in the student's home. Please request a teacher with their own studio. For teacher specific information please
contact us.
Q: Do you have a studio where I can take lessons?
A: Our teachers normally teach in the homes of their students, but some teachers may have a studio of their own. For teacher specific information please
